"One year ago the PM said any custom controls between Great Britain and Northern Ireland would damage fabric of the union," says Mr Corbyn.

"Given that this deal does the damages fabric of the Union - does he still agree with himself," he asks.

"The union is preserved and we are able to go forward together as one UK," replies Mr Johnson.

He then adds: "It is a bit rich to hear from him about his sentimental attachment to the union between Great Britain and Northern Ireland when he has spent most of his political life supporting the IRA and those who would support it through violence."

"Privatisation has doubled in our NHS," says Jeremy Corbyn.

He adds that the PM's spending commitments to the NHS are "unfunded".

He asks the PM to point to which clause in the Brexit deal protects the NHS in future free trade deals.

"He is completely wrong in what he says about the NHS," replies the PM.

"New staff and hospitals weren't paid for out of private funds - they were paid for by NHS."

The PM then accuses Mr Corbyn of having a "visceral dislike" of free trade and America.

Speaking after Boris Johnson and Jeremy Corbyn's meeting this morning, Liberal Democrat leader Jo Swinson said: "This is yet more clear proof that Jeremy Corbyn wants to deliver Brexit.

She adds: "It seems that Jeremy Corbyn has thrown Mr Johnson another lifeline this morning, as six white men met to discuss pushing through a Brexit deal which will wreck our country.

“Mr Corbyn is a Brexiteer, and Remainers won't forget if a shady backroom deal between Johnson and Corbyn helps to deliver Brexit."

Boris Johnson begins Prime Minister's Questions by saying he is "shocked" by the news that 39 nine bodies have been discovered in a lorry in Essex.

This is an unimaginable tragedy and truly heartbreaking," he says.

"Our thoughts and prayers will be those who have lost their loved ones."

The home secretary will be making a statement after PMQs, he said.

Many in the European press believe UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson will not be able to keep his promise of leaving the EU by 31 October following Parliament's rejection of his plan to pass his Brexit bill in three days.

The question for several is, as the Belgian financial daily De Tijd puts it: "... Polls predict that his Conservatives would quickly win that... On the other hand, he now has a deal and a parliamentary majority. Is that fetish date of 31 October so important?"

The Prime Minister and Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn have met this morning to discuss legislation for Brexit - as uncertainty continues over the next steps for the government's Brexit plan.

The 91�ȱ� understands that Labour wanted to discuss a different timetable for getting the bill through. The government side is understood to have asked Labour how they might react to an extension - or a veto on an extension by the EU.

It's understood there was no particular agreement at the meeting.

She adds that the PM has "been aided immeasurably by Remainers".

"Every time the Remain Parliament binds his hands, his poll numbers go up."

Following a meeting between the leader of the opposition and the prime minister, a Labour Party spokesperson said: “Jeremy Corbyn reiterated Labour’s offer to the prime minister to agree a reasonable timetable to debate, scrutinise and amend the Withdrawal Agreement Bill, and restated that Labour will support a general election when the threat of a no-deal crash out is off the table.”
