Hickling is the largest of the Norfolk Broads and forms part of a bigger complex of 116 square miles of freshwater lakes.

Hickling National Nature Reserve has a great circular walk with hides, and an observation hut with wonderful views of a wide variety of wildlife from Barn Owls to Marsh Harriers.

Return to Wetlands

The British Isles was once a wet, marshy place. Despite the loss of many natural wetlands, they are still amazing places to enjoy the natural world.
