Valley is the place to see some of the country's most elusive and impressive wildlife.
The Lee Valley Regional Park was created in 1967 when work started on
turning 10,000 acres of derelict land into a haven for recreation and wildlife.

Wildlife
fair in May. Watch the Bittern from the Bittern Watchpoint hide. If there are
no Bitterns there, read the information board that gives details of recent sightings

Abbey. The park extends from Ware to East India Dock Basin, stretching for 26
miles on both sides of the River Lee.
