The Proms relaxes into a late-night decompression session with Radio 1 Relax – presented by Sian Eleri, host of Radio 1’s Chillest Show.

David Bates and La Nuova Musica join a stellar cast for this concert performance of Purcell’s greatest and most popular opera.

With an unbroken history spanning nearly 150 years, the Tredegar Band is a true virtuoso ensemble. Their second Prom this season embraces centenary tributes to Elmer Bernstein and Judy Garland, as well as works by Richard Strauss and Vaughan Williams.

The virtuoso chamber choir The Sixteen performs Tallis’s extraordinary 40-part Spem in alium – the centrepiece of an unaccompanied late-night choral meditation that extends from medieval plainsong to the sounds of the 21st century.

Saxophonist and composer Marius Neset has been praised for his ‘voracious reinvention of jazz’. In his Proms debut he teams up with the London Sinfonietta to unleash his elemental new commission Geyser.
