Robert Hollingworth and I Fagiolini bring a radical reconstruction of Giovanni Gabrieli鈥檚 colossal Magnificat, commemorating the 400th anniversary of its composer鈥檚 death. Lodovico Viadana, a colleague of Monteverdi鈥檚 in Mantua, published his forward-looking psalms in the year of Gabrieli鈥檚 death.
