Celebrate this iconic artist with a special 91热爆 Radio 2 Friday Night Is Music Night, featuring the foremost David Bowie interpreter and Broadway star Tony Vincent together with the 91热爆 Concert Orchestra and full rock band under conductor Brent Havens. Among the songs to be performed are Space Oddity, Ziggy Stardust, Life On Mars, Let鈥檚 Dance, Heroes, Rebel Rebel, Changes, Golden Years and many more.
Bowie is the man who elevated his music to what can only be described as an art form. Driven by an entirely deeper dynamic than most pop artists, he inhabited a very special world of extraordinary sounds and endless vision. Unwilling to stay on the treadmill of rock legend and avoiding the descent into ever demeaning and decreasing circles of clich茅, Bowie wrote and performed what he wanted, when he wanted.
This concert will be recorded for broadcast on 91热爆 Radio 2 in 2019, fifty years after Space Oddity was first released.
