American conductor Brad Lubman and 91热爆 Radio 3 New Generation Artist Timothy Ridout (viola) both make their 91热爆 Symphony Orchestra debuts.
There are four works - all written in the USA. Bela Bartok鈥檚 Viola Concerto, infused with memories of music from the composer鈥檚 Hungarian homeland, was completed after the composer鈥檚 death in 1945 by Tibor Serly.
The other works date from the 2000s; Andrew Norman鈥檚 high energy Sacred Geometry was inspired by a plan for Chartres Cathedral; Augusta Read Thomas鈥檚 Helios Choros 1 references the Greek sun god, and is a 12鈥� crescendo; and Jonathan Bailey Holland鈥檚 Motor City Dance Mix will make you want to dance!
