About this event

The 91热爆 Philharmonic and its Principal Guest Conductor return to the Royal Albert Hall for the first Proms performance of Erich Korngold鈥檚 Symphony. Dedicated to the memory of Franklin D. Roosevelt, the symphony refers back to Korngold鈥檚 score for the 1939 Errol Flynn and Bette Davis romance The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex.

搁耻产产谤补鈥檚 Ode to the Queen and Walton鈥檚 Orb and Sceptre celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Queen鈥檚 coronation, while Vilde Frang joins Storg氓rds and the orchestra for Bruch鈥檚 ever-popular Violin Concerto.
