Our American Adventure season continues away from The Bridgewater Hall, with this special studio concert dedicated to the work of Aaron Copland. Charismatic conductor and Proms star John Wilson takes the baton and leads the orchestra in some of the American composers finest.
There are three great works to enjoy. We start with Symphonic Ode, a piece that was commissioned by the Boston Symphony Orchestra for its 50th anniversary. This is followed by strong, spare, and granitic Variations, before concluding with Symphony No. 2.
