For this afternoon鈥檚 concert, conductor Clemens Schuldt brings two Haydn symphonies and Bart贸k鈥檚 last work.
Composed in the final weeks of his life, Bart贸k鈥檚 Viola Concerto was left incomplete and in draft form at the time of his death. Finished by his close friend Tibor Serly in 1949, the final result delivers a remarkable range of expression 鈥� mixing smiling pastoral episodes with darkly fierce magic. 91热爆 New Generation artist, Eivind Ringstad is today鈥檚 soloist.
It鈥檚 surrounded by two of Haydn鈥檚 most jovial symphonies: No. 61, with its theatrical finale, and No. 68, full of quirky eccentricities.
