Concert Information
Dig out your spats, sequins and stilettos - as Len Goodman prepares to leave his post as head judge on 91热爆 TV鈥檚 Strictly Come Dancing - he presents a special Friday Night is Music Night featuring some of his favourite music and reflecting his life in the ballroom dancing world.
Len is probably the most famous mover (apart from Mick Jagger) to come out of Dartford. He鈥檚 been a barrow boy, a welder, a mod and now tv superstar on both sides of the Atlantic due to his appearances on Strictly Come Dancing and America鈥檚 Dancing with the Stars. But his success in the ball room would not have happened had it not been for a broken foot he sustained in a game of football. His doctor advised dancing would help strengthen his foot and get him back on the pitch. However, after a few lessons he was hooked by the dancing bug - he went on to win championships and has been awarded the Carl Allan award for services to ballroom dancing.
Len is known to tell it like it is. Often outrageous or known as 鈥淕rumpy Len鈥 it will be hard to imagine Strictly without him. He is joined by conductor Keith Lockhart and Strictly singers Hayley Sanderson and Lance Ellington.
The programme includes many ballroom favourites as well as music from West Side Story, On the Town and Saturday Night Fever.
