This irresistible programme begins with the effervescent Overture by Polish composer Gra偶yna Bacewicz and culminates in Dvo艡谩k's colourful and joyous Eighth Symphony. These works frame two pieces in which Julie Price takes centre stage: Mozart鈥檚 concerto shows the bassoon at its most genial and conversational, while Elgar鈥檚 Romance reveals the instrument鈥檚 more soulful side.
