John Storg氓rds conducts today鈥檚 concert, a captivating programme that includes Sibelius, Reger, Ives and Antheil, with baritone and 91热爆 New Generation Artist Benjamin Appl.
Sibelius鈥檚 The Tempest- Overture, written as incidental music for Shakespeare's play gets things off to an invigorating start.
Then, 91热爆 New Generation Artist, Benjamin Appl, joins the orchestra to perform Hymnus die Liebe by Reger.
At the centre of the concert is The Unanswered Question- one of Charles Ives best known pieces.
The concert concludes with Antheil鈥檚 Symphony no.4, "1942"- a moving piece that reflects wartime anxieties.
