    About this event

    The 91热爆 SO and its Chief Conductor Sakari Oramo launch the season with a UK premiere by its Artist in Association Brett Dean. Knocking at Hellgate is drawn from Dean鈥檚 much-admired 2010 opera Bliss and they are joined by the Canadian baritone Russell Braun. Richard Strauss鈥檚 epic and autobiographical celebration of a Hero鈥檚 Life, one of his most extravagant and popular tone-poems, provides late-romantic splendour.
