Sherlock dismisses suggestion he is to be made a peer
Liberal Democrat adviser and donor Neil Sherlock has just dismissed the suggestion in my blog yesterday that he is about to be made a Lib Dem peer.
"I think that one peerage in our house is enough at present!" he tells me.

You are one of the few live blogs today - at this rate you will be getting into double figures everyday.
I see Ivan Lewis is trying to hold an investigation into the 91Èȱ¬ license fee agreement - is the 16% cut to the £3.6bn income why all the politics blogs are being closed down early?

I gather you & Nick Robinson are both Man U supporters and have Oxford PPE's [as do half the coalition/opposition front benches] - you must know the current generation of politicians pretty well. At least Paxo went to the other place.

Surely you should have done something significant and of the greater good of the British public? Surely you should have something further to offer that can be enhanced by your position as a peer? The suggestion that Mr Sherlock may have been up for a peerage for being an adviser to a political party that has never been voted into power, and happens to donate money to said party is ludicrous. Our servicemen and women in Afghanistan/Iraq are doing more for their country than these people. What is going on?
