The 'maze of tunnels' is probably 'people attenuation' it provides space for people to build up in during times of peak demand or malfunction which will allow adjacent platforms to function without geting clogged up with people and prevent large build ups of people on the street.

You are simply showing your ignorance I am afraid. I think they have done a good job of maintaining the character of the building while constructing the required additional infrastructure to deal with the hugely increased demand relatively un-obtrusively.

I guess you are one of those who goes into a rant when you turn the tap on and water does not come out, ignorant to the fact that that is an extremely rare event and ignorant to the huge amount of work and expertise that goes into maintaining critical infrastructure.

After following your blogs for many months now, and learning to trust most of what you report, I have now lost all respect.

How can you offer comment and opinion from a position where you do not even intend to take part in that activity which defines our Country, namely democracy.

I do not pretend to say that it is a perfect system, or even the best available, but our past efforts have led us here. Many in history have spilt their blood to fight and defend the right of the Country's people to vote, and your admission of not making the effort to vote I find breathtakingly offensive.

Cue self righteous comments from the brain washed about not voting. Why shouldn't he abstain if he doesn't fancy any of the candidates? Why lend endorsement to a person or party who doesn't deserve it?

Battersea's a marginal, Michael - doesn't that whet your appetite? Your vote in a marginal has a weighting of 1.3. You should be so lucky! Sadly you don't have a Monster Raving Loony to vote for, but you do have two independents AND a Green besides the Boring Ones to choose from.

Abstaining and not voting are two different things.

Not voting means not going to a polling station

Abstaining means writing the word 'Abstain' on the ballot paper. It is counted in the election.

Mr Crick with his expensive private education and degree from Oxford knows this.

Michael. Even if you do not favour any of the candidates or want to show any political bias you should attend and spoil your voting paper. You will then have exercised your right which so many have been denied.

Trying to influence the candidates in your favour is equally distasteful.
