Murdoch's hero
The seasoned journalist Geoffrey Goodman has just reminded me that the student used to have a bust of Lenin on his college mantlepiece.
"Why?" his Labour Club colleague, Gerald Kaufman, reportedly asked him.
"My hero," said Murdoch.

A lecturer who shared Murdoch's hero worship claimed a chunk of Lenin's brain was blown away in an assassination attempt, and the man continued his determined revolutionary career.
In the '50s i suppose people believed things like that.
