However, both Fern Britton and your short piece above refer exclusively to violence committed by men against women. Last week, on Thursday 5th March, The One Show included a piece by Dom Littlewood on the increase in the small proportion of reported domestic violence committed by women against men, and the almost total lack of support provided to these male victims of domestic violence.
I am not seeking to be unnecessarily controversial, and I am in no way belittling the trauma suffered by the majority female victims of domestic violence, but I would be interested to know if any of the appeal monies raised will be directed to male victims, as they are, surely, equally as deserving of our support as female victims.
