Some bloggers have managed to meet up in the past without the world ending. It was a close thing, but we are all still here. Just.
If only very occasionally...
Although I do believe it has to be admitted that the attendance on the CLP blog following a meet does decline dramatically. Maybe that's what the problem is?
Although I prefer to see it as a natural cycle of things...we blog, we meet, we don't blog any more, others get a chance to be the in-crowd and take the abuse...

he did indeed say that, but it was before FB et al, and some bloggers have met and some haven't.

I think for the most part people on here have no pretences and if you like what you read then you may well like what you get. For those dubious, well sit out the 1st one and see the result on following blog days.

I'm over 50 - and although your blog is fairly accurate, I'm not going to admit I can't trust myself to fart!!

Can I just say, if you were a Priest, you'd need 30 vodkas too - what a hard life they are expected to live - rules totally man-made. No way (I believe) Jesus Christ meant for people to dedicate themselves and never be allowed a partner in life.

As for the bloggers meeting - I honestly think it can work - it HAS worked for me. I am going to really stick my neck out here - I don't think you should attend with partners or friends. I think the whole point of meeting up is to see what happens at the meet. You must get together somewhere busy and safe and if you don't like what you see, you make your excuses and leave! MrS is more than happy for me to attend, but he would never want to come along too!

But, hey, everyone must do what's right for them!

Wheeee completely accidentally I have spent most of drivetime.... driving!!! And shopping and spending Mr Jumpy's money, but that's by the by. Although I missed the beginning - might have to try the listen again thingy again to see who got a mention!

Now for a teeny tiny little rant.

If you bought a motorbike / scooter / moped whatever motorised thing on two wheels took your fancy, would you buy one that had a TOP SPEED OF 40MPH or that you only felt safe enough doing a TOP SPEED OF 40MPH on a busy national speed limit A road????? And then proceeded to tell the world that you apparently have a deathwish by riding as close to the side of the road as possible to try and let things past you even though there really isn't enough room to even overtake a moped if there's something coming the other way? I thought everyone who has been taught to ride a moped/motorbike/whatever was taught to own the road, or at the very least keep up with the rest of the traffic as you're less likely to DIE.

Rant over.

I shouldn't be allowed out at rush hour.....

I'm the king of the no-shows when it comes to blog meetings.

Heck, just ask Super Bagpuss, Moose, Hazel, I haven't met them all over the past couple of years.

I came mighty close a couple of times, but I really felt strange when the virtual world was transforming into the real world and each time, I couldn't do it.

Is that strange? Maybe it was just my lack of social confidence, I don't really know.

So I won't pledge my attendance at this one. When and where, by the way?

Chris can vouch that I do exist though.

CtD. You may be interested to know that the powers that be want me to come and work in Colchester. Bit of a commute from Rudgwick though......

I'm cool...have been on a long walkabout but having a break in the UK for a few days and what better way to spend holidays than to catch up with some old friends, most of whom I've never met. Am off again on Sunday though, and although the old internet thingy does stretch to those foreign parts where I spend my time, I'm usually too busy to blog and don't get to hear the show to remind me either...
