One of my friends told me that his wife's mother fell pregnant just after her (the mother-in-law's) grandmother died.

He and his wife had been trying for a couple of years to get pregnant and then his wife's grandmother died and, guess what, she fell pregnant.

He has told his mother-in-law not to die for at least twenty years (think about it!).

I have enough trouble looking after the cat - enough responsibilty for me!

But, i did some travelling when i was 19, came home and decided i wasnt going to Uni where i had a course awaiting me and had to tell my parents. The white face of my Dad and my mums stressed out , am i gonna believe this look gave away what they were thinking...and the fact i wasnt going to Uni was irrelevant cos they were so pleased i wasnt pregnant! So teenager parents be calmed - if they ever say `mum,dad, we need to talk..`..it may not be what u think!

But congrats agaon to all who are expecting - looking forward to counting down the days with you..

B-sMum: it was something Mr Diva and I agreed on before we even got married. It's just that I was the braver of the 2 and wanted to "make sure", as it were!

Basically, both still feel stoopid, young, wild and free. Love spoiling my nices, nephew and god children, but can hand them back when they scream/smell/chuck up etc.

Unless everyone was being very polite to me when I was pregnant (17 years ago) I can't remember any hint of milk! But, by magic, the moment MsS was born, I started producing milk!

I must confess, I didn't use it, and bottle-fed. Despite the horror stories we hear about bottle feeding, my daughter is as healthy as ..... someone who's healthy!

As for the due date - a beautiful Aquarius baby to look forward to! My mum was Aquarius and a wonderful woman - but just a word of warning - what a temper!!!

And i dont think its about being selfish its about knowing what u want... and accepting that not everyone is the same. I have always felt the same and luckily i have met my GM who also feels the same way.

And all my friends have kids - love em all to bits but am totally knackered after spending a few hours with them... anyone who is a parent out there- you are all saints and do the most amazing job!!

Actually, I hate to spoil this warm lovey feeling but I'm really not fond of other people's kids, even when I can give them back. Mine was OK (in fact she's perfect in every way, of course), but as she got older, I found it more and more difficult to toelrate anybody else's kids who were younger than her. Is this normal?

Think I probably prefer dogs and cats.

The only person who gave me a hard time about my decision to be lady-speyed was my own mum! i had a lecture on not making her a nan and stuff (I'm an only child - they truly broke the mould when I appeared!!!)

I thought this was rather selfish, especially as she lives abroad for half the year! Love her to bits but sometimes ... grrrrrrr!!!!!

MV: my mum's the same - she works in a shop that sells baby and nursery goods. People bring small children and babies with them and other staff members coo over them even when they are little monsters pulling stuff off shelves!! My Mum's the one hiding in the stock room - "ooh, I'll just check if we have it in stock for you"...... and scarpers.

Doesn't stop her giving me a hard time about when's she going to be a granny etc. though. C'uh.

Everyone's different - world would be a pretty boring place otherwise!

Think my parents have got over the shock of being grandparents before hitting 60 - my littlest brother had his first on 30th dec last year - my parents were shocked, to say the least, when they announced the news of the impending arrival!

Think they're a bit upset that we all live so far away - littlest brother abroad, me and other little brother down here in the south while parents are up north still. Mum keeps hinting about retiring down here somewhere...

As for aunts with no kids - me and Mr Jumpy have the bestest aunty ever, she spoils us rotten! I'm all for having aunts and uncles with no kids of their own ;) and am wondering about my other brother and his wifey... whether they want kids or not... although her parents really really really want them to have kids... no pressure there then...

It is my Tooli-belle's birthday today. She is 14. I can't believe it. When Did my baby get so old.

I think one of the worst experiences of my life (apart from the giant spider on the curtains incident) was when I had a pregnancy scare at 19.

91Èȱ¬ testing kits were in their infancy and cost a fortune, so it was a 3 day agonising wait after filling a bottle at the GP surgery.

3 days of agony for me and the then BF.

When I rang the surgery for the results, the nurse was all concerned and apologetic that it had come back negative. I, on the other hand at the other end of the phone was quite literally dancing for joy!!

I am also an aquarius lady, or as I like to call it, an aquarium. Prepare for weirdness is early teen years as he/she tries to develop their sense of individuality and uniqueness - THE most important thing to a water carrier.

no kids for me either. Never wanted any. As a littl'un I never played mummy with my dolls, but would play schools, where I lined up all of my teds, dolls, stuffed puffins etc and hit each one on the head with a big long wooden ruler. So maternal!

Errol has been speyed, thankfully, as he was far too fertile for my liking. 5 kids (4 mums - the big tart!) and a grandad 3 times over.

he says his love spuds are there in body, but not in soul.

Oh yeah, also forgot, Scissor Sisters in Traf Square, along with some others that have been mentiond but now I forget.

We had our first daughter 5 weeks ago so maybe that counts as another blog baby. I am not a regular blogger, but I do read every day and did blog before she was born, so maybe she scrapes in as a 'blog baby' on a technicality.

My wife was chuffed to produce a 10lb 8 oz baby with no pain relief, until I pointed out that not everyone will consider that something to be proud of!

I would receive a right hook if I said she smelled of milk, even though it comes gushing out whenever she hears a baby cry. Very embarassing when you are out in public.......

Elo Elo I must go and check out fb and see what the changes are.

Back from auntie vets as my chocolate brown long haired cat wasn't feeling well - so has been for a visit and an antibiotic injection so is now chilling out in the garden.

Work is slowly coming along - waiting for most of the accesses and applications has been frustrating and my sitting there just waiting for them and not being able to check in here has not been funny.

So much conversation - where do I start to answer.

I'm not sure Tasha would like the last two days of blogs by Chris but hopefully he is well and truly under her thumb and she will get her own back on him privately.

I'm an aquarian as well 24th, so it appears there are quite a few regular bloggers are as well.

I wish all bloggers and lurkers expecting happy arrivals all the very best - I haven't any as I haven't met the right person yet. Was given the choice of the lady removal but turned it down. I too make a great adoptive auntie x 3 and a real auntie to my sister's 18yr old daughter.

Head much better thanks Scooby - really ought to know better!! How can anything made of fruit be so evil?!

Alls quiet so off to put feet up and have a rest for a change.

Hi dragon yes the antibiotic injection lasts for two weeks and should clear him up and he is outside very quiet. He complained (moaned, whinged) all the way there and in the waiting room as well all the other cats were quiet! on the way back he wasn't happy to be still in the basket even though he could see and touch my arm through the wicker basket grill cover.

Never mind it wasn't as bad as it could have been and I'll drop off at a supermarket tomorrow night and get some tuna in for a treat which the other cat will also benefit from.

Phoenix- u have my sympathies with the cat - had to just go and break a fight up between feline mSc and a new black and white, twice the size of her neighbour.... she`s a real wuss bless her! Now got her firmly planted to my side where i suspect she will stay most of the evening! Glad ur cat doing ok tho - and dont they just LOVE tuna?! Keep plugging away at work and will feel like u always been there soon..:-)

Dragon.. i know, i know..u`d think we were old enough to know the dangers of the vino wouldnt u?! but i can sympathise - i never learn either! But, im sure it counts towards ur 5 a day - my excuse and im sticking to it!

No babies in this particular corner of West Sussex.

Oh, and I forgot The Sterophonics and, gulp, Bobby Brown, from my list earlier.

I know. Seems a bit 'out of kilter' with the rest (although CdB sticks out like nasty cold sore). It was all about a girl. We were 16 or so and I was tipped the wink that she liked BB, so I got front row at Wembley!

I'm still receiving counselling for it now. It did work though.....

I also omitted my one and only festival experience at Donington, which I have already written about on here, and would qualify as Guns N'Roses number 4 (after The Marquee, Hammy O and Wembley Stadium), but with everything that happened I don't really count it as a gig.

Strangely, I watched a thing about Gn'R on the Biog Channel the other day and there were actual stills and live footage from the day, the first I have ever seen, and it really did send chills through me.

The only other one I didn't mention, someone said that tributes shouldn't really count, was the night I was taken to the Penrith Panthers club in Oz.

This place is/was (?) the home of the rugby side and is basically a huge casino. I didn't realise until I got down under that the Australians do like a flutter. Anyway, we got some tickets for a gig there one night, so we went along and it turned out it was the 'last ever' show by The Australian Doors - often said to be the greatest of all tribute acts.

Now I can cope with a bit of Doors stuff. I once popped over to Pere-Lachaise in Paris to see how the Lizard King was getting on (oh, and dear Oscar), but I wasn't prepared for what we saw that night.

Amazing stuff. 'Jim' played most of the gig with his back to the audience (in true Mojo Risin' fashion) and the music was stunning.

We left there thinking how privileged we were to have seen 'the last ever show'.

Turned out that they were a little Sinatra-esque in declaring their impending retirement. I believe they are still touring.

We saw them in 1995.

Footnote. If you haven't seen the Oliver Stone film 'The Doors' make sure you do. It is a bit psychedelic, but Val Kilmer is amazing, and he actually sang the songs in the movie.

Must off and have a glass of something fizzy.

And I ain't talkin cola.

Another one I may have done on here at some point, apologies if I have.

During my misspent youth I worked as a delivery guy for a hi-fi/TV place in Weybridge, Surrey.

I managed to get into some fantastic places, including Rick Parfitt's (where I spent an entire afternoon smoking and chatting with him about rock history), John Lennon's, Tom Jones' and Ringo Starr's old houses and countless other squillionaires' pads.

Anyway, one day I get told, ''go to Cliff's, 'cos someone's given him a laserdisc player and he doesn't know how to set it up''.

So off I trundle.

I knock on the door and his housekeeper answers. I say, ''err, I'm here to sort Cliff's laser out''.

She invites me in and tells me to wait in the kitchen.

Ten minutes later, in strolls Cliff and says, ''Hi! fancy a coffee?''. I accept, and an very slightly awestruck.

Anyway. Cliff makes coffee, then the phone rings. He answers and, I tell you the truth, it is Sacha Distel. They proceed to yak away while I sup my coffee and study his fridge magnets.

When they finally hang up I, slightly lying, tell our Cliffy how much I enjoyed his Christmas special on TV the previous evening, and he proceeds to give me a tour of the house.

Then. He says he has to go out and leaves me to install said laserdisc player, and, get this, peruse through all his Christmas cards!

I'm afraid, even all these years later, I won't tell you who they were from and what they said.

My parents split up when I was 14 and for 7 years or so I no idea where daddy dearest was living. Then by pure fate (will tell you one day but too long-winded for here) we found each other - just before my 21st birthday. He was living in Weybridge - the Oatlands/Walton side.

Sadly, dad died in 2005 but he left me his property in Weybridge, so know that area rather well. It used to make me laugh - he was a member of the "Working Man's Club" but being Weybridge it was full of retired baristers, judges, doctors etc. Not your average flat cap WMC from oooop north.

Jimmy Pursey eh! Had abit of Sham in the car this morn ...

Matt I'm just star struck now! although did have a bit of time in the charity shops paradise called beaconsfield - some interesting folks there too! guitars/actors etc.

Yep saw quite a few giant tortoises and some baby ones. Hatched in June and another 150 years to look forward to. Saw a giant rabbit too.

Deb - we went to Linton Zoo a couple of years ago and loved it (but not as good as Colchester Zoo). The giant tortoises were really funny - they were sort of nudging each other round that garden bit they live in.

Banham Zoo in Norfolk's good too - they have a bat viewing area - thankfully behind glass - but fascinating.

Hey - we have two sets of Alpha Males in our midst ladies: the obvious stag-like behaviour of easyjob and Mr Dissing with their light sabres and pistols at dawn, then the fame game pair of Matt and Gingembre.
