Estelle ft. Sean Paul - 'Come Over'

EstelleDo you know, I was only wondering the other day whatever happened to Sean Paul. For one hot year he was on everyone's records - from Beyonce to Westlife and back, probably - in much the same way that Akon is now, and then suddenly, without so much as a magical puff of smoke, he disappeared. And now look, Estelle has only gone and found him, brushed the cobwebs off (missed a few big ones down the back of his head there, Esty), and resurrected him for chart use. Isn't she lovely?

Clearly, in order to draw him out of his hiding place, she has had to use a musical lure, so there would be no point trying one of her smooth disco numbers, or anything too contetious lyrically (no mention of refusing to carry embryos in THIS tune, for example).

Instead we have beautifully warm, cheery Lover's Rock-type reggae number, perfectly designed to draw a hermit from his lonely cave.

"C'mon, little Seanie," Estelle will have crooned, "I know someone who knows someone who knows Beyonce...you remember Beyonce? That's right, she used to babysit for you when you were a baby boy. Are you going to come out and see me? I've got a nice little song for you to sing. You like to sing, don't you?"

At this point, Sean will have grunted something that is not discouraging, which allows Estelle to keep talking...

"That's right, you DO like to sing, don't you. And I've got a song which is perfect for you. It even has a nice long gap in the middle for you to do that lovely mumbley toasting thing you like to do. Isn't that nice? Nice bit of toast? You can even cut it up and dip it in your egg, if you like...although I'm not sure how that would work...now, won't you come out? Please?"

Which of course, he does. And the two new friends go off to the recording studio for a lovely tea.

Now, would it be too much to ask that someone does something similar for poor old Wyclef Jean, before he catches a nasty cold?
