An interview with Alix Arnaud, owner of ‘la petite masion’, a chambre d’hôte in Marseille. We learn about the way in which Alix talks to her guests and what she might ask them. Some guests and the interviewer talk with Alix during their breakfast.

This clip can be used to produce an account of a holiday in the perfect tense. As a starting point, students find a map online similar to Mme Arnaud’s and use it to answer her questions as though they had stayed in her bed and breakfast. This can then be developed into a piece of written work. Students could research the local area and carry out a role-play based on passing on tourist information.
