Description
Different units of measurement are used for familiar everyday objects found in the home. The objects are: a bag of potatoes, milk, kitchen foil, butter, orange juice and shampoo. The measurements of grams, kilograms, litres, millilitres and metres are used to match up the objects.
Classroom Ideas
Students could weigh a selection of familiar everyday objects, the measurements found and the information could be transferred into a graph to interpret. Mode, median and range of weights could be found.
