Description
Midas and Pactolus are rival rappers. During a competition to win a huge recording contract, Midas comes down with a cold and is forced to pull out. This leaves his rival to take all the glory. He wishes that it was he who was famous. But things don鈥檛 turn out as Midas planned and soon everything he touches turns to gold - in a negative way.
Classroom Ideas
Students could write their own cautionary tales of greed, creating a lead character who makes a wish that comes true. Students may wish to write a story about a character whose parents must do whatever they tell them, or a child who wished he could eat chocolate for every meal.
