The History Boys is a play written by Alan Bennett. It was first performed in 2004, at the National Theatre in London. It was also made into a successful film.
Alan Bennett was born in 1934. After attending a grammar school in Leeds he attended Oxford University 鈥 where he read History. He is a well-known British writer. He wrote among other things the film The Madness of King George III, which he adapted from his own play. He is also well-known for his reading of Winnie the Pooh.
