The classification of movement skills on a continuum
Motor or movement skills can be classified on a continuum.
A continuum is a range or sliding scale between two extreme points. Each point on a continuum is slightly greater or lesser than its neighbours. You can move up or down a continuum.
For example, in physical education, pupils take part in a games continuum based on their age:
