Polybat is a disability sport that takes the form of a bat and ball game, played on a table tennis table with the net removed and with side barriers added.
A game of polybat is played on a standard table tennis table that is conditioned for wheelchair users.
The polybat side barriers must be 10 cm high and not encroach on the table by more than 3.5 cm.
To hit the ball, players use a wood or plastic bat that is no longer than 30 cm and the hitting surface area should not exceed 180 cm.
A match must be played with a soft plastic airflow golf ball. To ensure good vision of the ball, it must be either white or orange in colour and have a matt finish.
