Changing Christmas traditions
You are carrying out a project on festivals and special celebrations with your French partner school. You created a short presentation and your class has put together some questions and answers. Listen to the audio then try to answer the questions that follow. Follow up activity - How would you answer these same questions?
脟a d茅pend.
Question
State two ways that she believes Christmas traditions have changed.
She says lots of people have an artifical tree. In the UK there are good sales on the 26 December, people prefer to shop rather than spend time with their family.

Translation
Do you think that Christmas is still a traditional festival or has it changed?
It depends. My family still buys a Christmas tree but lots of people have an artifical tree now because it鈥檚 more practical. In the UK, 26 December is a bank holiday and there are now often very good sales and people like to go shopping rather than spend time with their family.
