Stunning sunsets were captured across the United Kingdom on Monday evening.

After the hottest day of the year so far with temperatures reaching 34.8 C in Cambridge, the setting sun appeared fiery in the evening sky.

91�ȱ� Weather Watchers took plenty of photographs of the sunset with some amazing cloudscapes.

Colourful sunsets are created by dust, pollutants and other particles in our atmosphere scattering the white sunlight and leaving the reds, purples and oranges.
