Raise Your Game: How do you continually beat other athletes day in day out? What is your secret to success?

Mo Farah: I train hard. Anything is possible. You just have to work hard at what you do and that's the secret. I've also got great people behind me and I guess you have to be good at what you do. We're all good at different things.

RYG: How important is the team behind you?

MF: It's really important. Last year I was down and I wasn't having a good time after the Olympics, but I had good support from my coach and my family. Things don't always turn out the way you want them to and you have to deal with that.

RYG: What is your advice for anybody looking at getting involved in athletics?

MF: I didn't used to like athletics! I loved playing football and being with my friends, but now I love athletics because I'm with the right people and I am enjoying myself when I'm training. I made that decision over a couple of years later on in my life.

Opportunities don't often come around twice so you have to take them while you can. I have a lot of friends outside athletics, but in athletics you can't go out partying. You have to eat, sleep and train and that's what you do. As you can see, I'm enjoying myself!

RYG: What has athletics given you?

MF: It's made me who I am today. I don't think I would be in any sport if it wasn't for athletics. I'm very happy, I'm delighted!
