For health visiting teams using the Early Language Identification Measure and Intervention (ELIM-I), Newcastle University have developed new resources to support the identification of children's speech, language and communication needs, and to provide tailored support to families. ELIM-I is designed for use with all children attending their 2-2 陆 year Healthy Child Review鈥.

They demonstrate nine tips to parents/carers to help them to become 'super communicators' with their children.
The nine tips are:
Each of the tips has a number of different supporting videos that model the tip being used by parents/carers across different daily routines with their child. This helps parents/carers to understand the target behaviour and how they might apply the behaviour across different contexts.
The videos may be used with parents/carers across multiple sessions, or practitioners may choose to share a couple of them with parents/carers in one session to support understanding.
