What age is Super Movers for Every Body for?

Super Movers for Every Body is for primary aged children and their teachers.

Are there teaching resources to support this campaign?

Yes, there are films for 5-7 year olds and films for 8-11 year olds. We also have downloadable activity sheets that teachers can use in PE lessons to teach some of the valuable skills required in Paralympic sports. Each activity sheet will show how to run the activity and how you can make the activity easier or harder, depending on your students鈥 abilities. The activity sheets also include impairment specific considerations. There are also fun dance-along style videos for families to follow at home to encourage everyone in the family to take part in physical activity and boost their wellbeing. All the resources have been designed for regular use within the classroom, sports hall or playground.

Can I still register for inclusive sport equipment for my school?

With thanks to the Premier League, thousands of free PE equipment packs will be distributed to schools from September 2024. The deadline for UK primary schools to apply was Friday 7th June and registration has now closed. If you missed out on applying, all the fun Super Movers for Every Body activities can be tried today with equipment you can find in your school or home.

When will I receive my sport equipment pack?

Schools who have been allocated a pack will be notified by September 2024. Schools will then start to receive their packs in September, with all packs being delivered by the end of November 2024.

How have packs been allocated?

Due to overwhelming interest, and demand outstripping the number of packs available, packs have been distributed fairly across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, with the number of packs available for each nation proportionate to the number of schools.

Of those available to each nation, 50% have been allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. The second 50% of those available have been allocated based on Need*.

*Need has been determined using a specific indicator within each nation. The table below shows which indicator has been used for England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

I鈥檝e ordered my sport equipment pack, but not received it. What should I do?

If you have received confirmation that you have been allocated a sport equipment pack, but don鈥檛 have your pack by the end of October 2024, please check with your school reception to see if the package has been received. If you still have not received it, please contact us by emailing teach.bbc@bbc.co.uk

My children are home-schooled. How can they get involved?

There are fun videos for families to follow at home to encourage everyone in the family to take part in physical activity and boost their wellbeing. You can also take part in inclusive sport activities with things that you have at home. For example, you could use rolled up socks for boccia balls and bean bags to practise shot put. Find out how you can play inclusive sports at home in our article here.

Is Super Movers for Every Body just for schools?

No. The whole family can get involved. There are lots of fun videos with songs and dances for children, parents and carers to move along to. Find out about the benefit of sport for your disabled child here.

Why is the 91热爆 running this campaign?

Disabled children can feel excluded from sports but our aim is to support them to be active and feel included, and to give teachers help and advice on how to deliver inclusive activities in PE and sport. We also hope to promote a sense of allyship and advocacy so that every student can support their disabled classmates when taking part in PE lessons and school sport and teachers can encourage inclusivity.
