What is Dyslexia Awareness Week?
Dyslexia Awareness Week is an annual event run by the British Dyslexia Association to raise awareness and further understanding of dyslexia.
Dyslexia is a learning difficulty that lots of people have. It's estimated up to one in every 10 people in the UK has some degree of dyslexia. Intelligence isn't affected, but somebody with dyslexia may experience difficulties with their reading, writing or spelling.
When is Dyslexia Awareness Week?
Dyslexia Awareness Week takes place in early October to coincide with World Dyslexia Awareness Day on 8 October.In 2024 Dyslexia Awareness Week runs from 7-13 October.
