i disagree. life is about taking risks and having the freedom to choose. i always wanted to box as a child - but there was no boxing at schools in my day (the 80s). i didnt start until i went to oxford university. the sport tranformed my life. i captained the university side, won 2 british students gold medals (1 silver), and represented england. you're absolutely right - boxing is a fight. and unfortunately so is life. i dont have children yet, but when i do, i would be delighted if they wanted to box (son or daughter). because you learn so much about life's lessons within those ropes. i played rugby at school. i got far worse injuries playing schoolboy rugby than i ever received boxing. didnt affect my brains too much either. I left Oxford with a Doctorate, won the top scholarship to Bar school and qualified as a barrister in London. I owe an enormous debt to boxing. Nothing else I've ever done has been so honest - a boxer is forced to be truly honest with himself. And for me, those lessons I learnt in the ring were the best preparation I could possibly have hoped for to cope with the ups, downs, disappointments, struggles and sucesses of life ...

Its great to see Anthonys spirit and enthusiasm for something he cleary loves but...I'm one of those people who dont accept boxing as a sport..its a fight! In my view any responsible parent wouldnt encourage their child into this dangerous activity. its been proven beyond any doubt that brain damage is easily caused through this..I mean wake up boxing fans..its consistand punches to the head..the brains only protected by a thin membrane...if Anthony is inspired by Ali than he should also be inspiredby his sad condition now that boxing caused!
