Great Britain's Matt Weston wins silver at skeleton World Championships

Great Britain's Matt Weston claimed World Championships silver in the men's skeleton in Winterberg, Germany.
Weston, who won gold at the 2023 event, was 0.23 seconds behind German gold medallist Christopher Grotheer.
Yin Zheng finished 1.01 seconds adrift of Grotheer to take bronze and a first World Championship medal for China in skeleton.
"Once you become world champion, you expect it from yourself every year," Weston said.
"Christopher is in insane form and to be so close to him is a positive. I lost a lot in the track - the last run was probably my worst.
"A silver medal at World Championships is not a bad place to be and it lit the fire up for the World Cup final in Lake Placid."
Weston, 26, took bronze in a World Cup event in Altenberg, Germany, on 16 February, and is second in the overall World Cup standings, behind Grotheer, with one race remaining in Lake Placid in the United States next month.
Fellow Briton and European champion Marcus Wyatt set a new track record on the fourth and final run, crossing the line in 55.26 seconds, but he was 0.01 seconds shy of taking a medal as he finished fourth overall.
In the women's event, Briton Tabitha Stoecker, who won a World Cup gold in December, missed out on a medal by 0.02 seconds as she finished fourth, while compatriot Amelia Coltman was sixth.
However, Stoecker did claim a silver medal with Weston in the mixed team skeleton on Saturday as they finished behind the winning duo of Grotheer and Hannah Neise.
Wyatt and Amelia Coltman claimed fourth place in the event.
