Novak Djokovic fought back from a set down against Croatia's Marin Cilic to move into the quarter-finals of the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells.

Number 24 seed Cilic won the first set in just 20 minutes before Djokovic, 26, rallied to win 1-6 6-2 6-3.

Meanwhile, 17-time Grand Slam winner Roger Federer advanced with a 6-4 6-4 success against Tommy Haas.

In the women's event, second seed Agnieszka Radwanska reached the semi-finals by beating Jelena Jankovic.

World number two Djokovic will face France's Julien Benneteau, who beat Spain's Feliciano Lopez 6-3 7-6 (7-4), in the last eight.

Federer, 32, plays Kevin Anderson after the South African eliminated Australian Open winner Stanislas Wawrinka. The Swiss - so long Federer's understudy but now raked three in the world to Federer's eight - lost for the first time in 2014 with a 7-6 (7-1) 4-6 6-1 defeat.

Milos Raonic's reward for beating Wimbledon champion Andy Murray is a match against Alexandr Dolgopolov of Ukraine. Number 28 seed Dolgopolov, who knocked out top seed Rafael Nadal in the previous round, beat Italy's Fabio Fognini in straight sets (6-2 6-4).

The final quarter-final tie sees USA's John Isner take on Ernests Gulbis of Latvia.

Isner won 7-6 (7-3) 3-6 6-3 against Spain's Fernando Verdasco, while Gulbis saw off Verdasco's compatriot Roberto Bautista 7-6 (7-0) 4-6 6-2.

Former Wimbledon finalist Radwanska, 25, reached the women's last four after winning a two-and-a-half-hour battle with Serbia's Jankovic.

The Pole led 4-0 in the final set but allowed Jankovic to fight back to 4-4 before taking the last two games to seal a 7-5 2-6 6-4 success.

She plays Simona Halep for a place in the final after the Romanian eased to a 6-2 6-2 victory against Australian qualifier Casey Dellacqua.
