Scotland coach Craig Levein praised Kenny Miller and Jamie Mackie for their finishing in a win over Cyprus he thought should have been more handsome.

"The first was fantastic for us as that's something Kenny's been working on," Levein told 91热爆 Scotland .

"And the second one was a fantastic piece of skill by Jamie Mackie.

"I felt we had enough chances tonight that would normally come our way in two international games."

Miller opened the scoring with a superb volley in the 24th minute before Mackie fired his second international goal after the break.

Dimitris Christofi pulled one back for Cyprus three minutes later when he lashed his shot into the corner, but Scotland held on comfortably for their seventh win in 11 internationals.

Levein was not totally satisfied with the performance at the Antonis Papadopoulos Stadium though, in which Cyprus hit both the bar and post.

"We played exceptionally well on occasion and I felt we were a little too careless in possession and, as a result of that, I thought we gave away a few too many chances," he said.

"There are a few guys who haven't played for a little while and I felt it took us a little bit to get into the match.

"But there were some good performances and overall I'm a happy chappie.

"We got a victory away from home against a very good attacking team.

"The best part of their game is the attacking side and I didn't expect us to have complete domination and not give up any chances."

Miller took his Scotland tally to 16 while Mackie marked his first Scotland game in a year in style.

"They were fantastic goals," said Levein. "Kenny has scored regularly for Scotland, but I don't think he will have scored many better than that one.

"It was a wonderful pass from Christophe Berra and a sublime finish.

"And I was really thrilled for Jamie Mackie because he has been out for a long time with a broken leg and the first time he comes back into the team he gets the goal and had a pretty good performance all round.

"He said himself 'I should have had three goals'. He got himself in some great situations, the keeper made a good save and there was a block as well."
