Fly-half Dan Biggar's ankle injury is "not long-term" and Wales have not ruled him out of Saturday's Six Nations match with Scotland in Cardiff.
Biggar, 26, limped off against Ireland on Sunday as Wales drew their opening match of the Championship 16-16.
Rhys Priestland deputised at number 10 for almost an hour in Dublin.
"Dan Biggar has made excellent progress with his ankle injury. Indications are it is not considered long-term," the Welsh Rugby Union
"Decisions over his availability for this weekend to face Scotland will be made later in the week."

Wales have delayed their team announcement for Saturday's match by 24 hours and their starting side will now be confirmed at 11:00 GMT on Thursday.
Former Wales and Ospreys halfback partner Mike Phillips believes it is right Biggar is given more time to prove his fitness.
"We've heard [injury] is not as bad as we first feared," Racing 92's Phillips said.
"Give him an extra day or two and hopefully he can pull through and play on the weekend.
"He manages the game really well and can close things. He's a big voice on the field and comfortable in the environment.
"The manner in which he plays, he puts his heart and soul into it."
