London Irish are expected to sign Scotland prop Geoff Cross from Edinburgh at the end of the season.

The 31-year-old joined Glasgow on loan last week until the end of the season and will become an Exile this summer, 91Èȱ¬ Radio Berkshire understands.

He made his Edinburgh derby in December 2006 and has made 130 club appearances and earned 28 Scotland caps.

London Irish boss Brian Smith said after Saturday's loss to Bath that he wants to bring in forwards.

"We're still going to keep trying to build that pack and the strength in depth," he said.

"We want more steel in the pack and we have one or two things we want to address in the backs as well."
