Jersey coach Ben Harvey rues missed chance in B&I Cup

Jersey head coach Ben Harvey said his side missed a good chance to rack up another win in the British & Irish Cup.

Harvey's side slipped to a 24-19 defeat by Ulster Ravens, a result which leaves them in second place behind the Cornish Pirates in Pool Six.

"We're very disappointed as we could and should have won that game," Harvey told 91热爆 Radio Jersey.

"We played very well for large parts of the first half but gave away a sloppy try and that left us chasing the game."

Jersey beat Ayr 28-16 in their first B&I Cup game last weekend but could not quite back up that victory.

"We did really well to get back to 21-19 but a sloppy penalty and the game was gone," added Harvey.

"But I'm pleased because the boys were up at 05:30 and Ravenhill is a tough, tough place to come. There were positives - the driving maul was excellent and the scrummaging went well - but we feel as though we should have won the game.

"Whatever game we play in, we take it very, very seriously and I'd like to do well in it. It's good for morale and we are challenging ourselves against sides we don't know a lot about."
