Worcester Warriors hooker Ed Shervington has signed a new deal to remain at Sixways.
The 26-year-old former Ospreys front row has made 32 appearances for the Midlanders over the last two seasons.
Worcester forwards coach Phil Davies said: "Since Ed has joined us from the Ospreys he has developed into a high quality Premiership starter."
The Newport-born player joins scrum-half duo Shaun Perry and Jonny Arr in committing their future to the club.
Davies continued: "I've been impressed by his attitude and he does a lot of work on the physical aspect of the game and conditioning to make sure he is in the best possible shape.
"He also works tirelessly on his line-out throwing and contributes to the scrum, making him an invaluable set-piece forward.
"The added advantage with Ed is that he is great around the park, has great feet and carries the ball well. He has been a top signing and is only young so will get better and better."
Shervington, who has represented Wales at Under-18, Under-19 and Under-21 level, added: "We've made a really strong start to 2012 and if we had closed out some of the tight games we would be in an even better place.
"There was interest from other clubs but I am settled in the area with my girlfriend Stacey. We love the city, the fans and Worcester is where I want to be."
