Cornish Pirates have recalled dual-registered fly-half Aaron Penberthy from his spell at Redruth.

The 19-year-old, who joined the Pirates from Redruth at the beginning of the season, is the seventh-highest points scorer in National Two South.

Pirates have had problems at fly-half following injuries to Jonny Bentley and Ceiron Thomas.

"Aaron has gone back to the Pirates so we've got to switch around in the back line," said Reds boss Dave Penberthy.

"Brett Rule will move to 10, Paul Thirlby will go to 15 and Luke Johnson, who's one of our youngsters, will get a chance on the wing," added Dave Penberthy, who is Aaron's father.

Pirates had Exeter Chiefs fly-half Myles Dorrian on loan for games against London Scottish and Leeds last month.

Penberthy is set to be named in the Pirates squad for their home game with Nottingham on Sunday.
