Rob Harley has become the second player to sign a contract extension with the Glasgow Warriors in as many days.
The 21-year-old forward has signed on for another two years, tying him to the RaboDirect Pro12 outfit until May 2014.
Harley has captained the side while Al Kellock was with the Scotland squad at the World Cup in New Zealand.
Head coach Sean Lineen told : "Rob is a real warrior, in all senses of the term. He's a real tough competitor with a fantastic work rate."
Harley joins fly-half Ruaridh Jackson in committing himself to a longer contract with Warriors this week.
The back-row or lock, formerly of West of Scotland, signed his first professional contract last summer and has gone on to play for Scotland A.
Harley, who skippered Glasgow to three victories, was delighted to extend his stay with his club.
"Committing to Glasgow Warriors was a straightforward call to make," he said.
"I've enjoyed my time here immensely and I know it's the right place for me to continue to develop.
"I'd like to thank all the coaches, support staff and fans at the club for helping me to grow as a player in the year and a bit I've been here.
"And I look forward to sharing a lot more good times with them and the rest of the squad in the coming months and years.
"It's been an honour to captain the team while Al was at the World Cup and I feel like the club is in a good place both on and off the field."
