Leeds Carnegie have confirmed the signing of Doncaster Knights full-back Stevie McColl on a two-year contract.
McColl finished last season with 13 tries in all competitions from 27 appearances, having made the switch from centre to full-back.
Originally from Fife, the 22-year-old was part of Edinburgh's academy before moving to Doncaster four years ago.
McColl said: "With the Championship format, we have got time to gel as a squad and be ready for the play offs."
He played junior representative rugby for Scotland, and was named Scotland Under-18 player of the year in 2006.
McColl continued: "I had a fantastic time at Doncaster and I cannot thank everyone at the Knights enough for the support they have given me.
"However, I am looking forward to being part of the full-time set-up here at Leeds Carnegie and I am excited to be working with the new coaching team here at the club.
"It has been a bit like your first day at school with the start of pre-season and you are desperately trying not to forget anyone's name but I am sure we will all get to know each other.
"There are a few of us with experience of playing in the Championship so we are under no illusions about how tough it will be.
"But we have got a young and enthusiastic squad and you can already tell that we are going to enjoy the challenge together and hopefully do something special as a group."
