Gloucester head coach Bryan Redpath has signed a new contract, tying him to the club until 2014.

Forwards coach Carl Hogg has signed a similar deal.

Redpath and this season has led them to the their first trophy in five years, and the Premiership play-offs, where they will face Saracens.

Redpath told 91热爆 Gloucestershire: "The challenge now is to improve again for next season."

He added: "Three years gives us a good platform. We're trying to build an old-fashioned club culture. I can't think of any better place to do that."

Redpath was promoted from assistant to head coach and the side has flourished under the former Scotland captain's rule.

Gloucester finished seventh in the Premiership table in 2009/10 as Redpath tried to increase the stability within a smaller squad.

They have shown significant improvement in Redpath's second term in charge, finishing third in the regular season.

"Three years is great, but it's year to year - if you don't succeed in year one you'll get some pressure in year two, so I never look at the three," Redpath added.

"What I want to do is improve again next season and that doesn't mean improve on the position in the league it means improve the mental strength of the group."

"We must keep maintaining that mental strength to be a more competitive side."
