Catalan Dragons have signed stand-off Leon Pryce from St Helens on a three-year deal.

The 29-year-old is the first Englishman to join the French side since they joined the Super League in 2006.

"I have had a great time at Saints," said Pryce. "I've nothing but brilliant memories of the club and the team.

"I have been a part of several trophy-winning sides and it has been an honour to play with so many great players and teams over the years."

The Great Britain international becomes Dragons coach Trent Robinson's second signing for 2012, following

"The signing of Leon Pryce is one of the high points of our history," said Robinson.

"The signing is recognition that six years of hard work have gained us the trust of major players like Leon."

Pryce began his career at Bradford, where he made 190 appearances, scoring 85 tries.

During his eight years at the Bulls, Pryce won three Super League titles, two Challenge Cups and three World Club Challenge trophies.

In 2006 Pryce made the move to St Helens, where his success continued, winning five more trophies during a five-year spell.

However, over the past two seasons he has struggled with injuries -
