Team GB skateboarder Lola Tambling says she is "absolutely buzzing" after making her Olympic Games debut in Paris.

The 16-year-old from Saltash in Cornwall finished 15th in the preliminary round of the women's park event, missing out on a place in the final.

Her best run of 73.85 left her just under 10 points off eighth place and a spot in the final.

Despite not progressing Tambling says the experience of competing on a global stage is one she has relished.

"I am absolutely buzzing. I have no words right now, I can't believe what just happened," Tambling told 91热爆 Sport.

"That opportunity was insane and I just soaked it all in.

"It's the biggest achievement of my whole entire life and I loved every minute of it."

Despite falling on her second and third runs Tambling was still pleased with her performance, particularly staying on her board in her first run.

"I could have made it a bit better, but I landed a run at the Olympics," she added.

"I can now officially say I'm an Olympian and this is the best thing that's ever happened to me. I'm just so, so happy."
