Rovers sign defender Emmanuel on short-term deal

Doncaster Rovers have signed free-agent full-back Josh Emmanuel on a short-term deal.
The 27-year-old has been on trial with Rovers after leaving Carlisle United, where he made 14 League One appearances last season.
Emmanuel is reunited with boss Grant McCann and assistant Cliff Byrne, with whom he previously worked at Hull City.

Emmanuel was with West Ham United as a youngster before joining Ipswich Town鈥檚 youth set-up, going on to make 29 first-team appearances.
He has also had loan spells with Crawley Town, Shrewsbury Town and Rotherham United, where he won promotion from League One.
After leaving Ipswich, he played for Bolton Wanderers, Hull City and Grimsby Town before playing for Carlisle last season.
McCann said: 鈥淚 know exactly what he is capable of. He鈥檚 in really good condition. He adds competition to the defensive area.
