Jersey Bulls manager Elliott Powell says he is dreaming of Wembley after his side beat Bedfont Sports 2-0 in the FA Vase.

A tight game was eventually broken open with 10 minutes to go as Jonny Le Quesne rounded a defender before finishing well.

Jack Boyle secured passage into the third round when he capitalised on an 89th-minute defensive error to get his first goal of the season.

The clean sheet was the ninth successive game in all competitions that Bulls have not conceded a goal.

"The carrot of Wembley is only seven games away when you start, six games away now, so clearly that's quite tantalising," Powell, whose side are chasing promotion from the Combined Counties League, told 91热爆 Radio Jersey.

"Hopefully it'll be a last opportunity to play in the Vase because if we go up next year it'll be the FA Trophy rather than the Vase, so this feels like a realistic opportunity to potentially get there.

"But we are in the very early stages, so today gave us an opportunity to rotate.

"It's a different pressure to being in the league campaign where we have to go every single week because teams around us don't slip up often.

"We got through it today and hopefully can we can continue to progress a little bit further in this competition."
