Doncaster Rovers 1-1 Wigan Athletic (4-2 on penalties): League Two side win shootout to reach Trophy last eight

League Two strugglers Doncaster Rovers beat League One Wigan Athletic on penalties to reach the quarter-finals of the EFL Trophy.
Rovers, who will be away to fellow Yorkshire club Bradford City in the last eight, prevailed after an entertaining 90 minutes ended with the teams level at 1-1.
Wigan went ahead when Matt Smith's pass released Sean Clare, who crossed from the right for Charlie Wyke to head past Louis Jones.
But Owen Bailey equalised for the hosts midway through the second half and misses by Charlie Hughes and Jordan Jones in the shootout meant Doncaster went through.
Wyke's opener was a blow for Rovers, who have won just one of their past eight league matches - a run which has included five defeats and seen them drop to 20th in the table.
But they responded well to the setback and were unfortunate not to be on level terms by half-time.
Luke Molyneux fired over after being set up by Kyle Hurst, and Bailey had a couple of chances to equalise, sending a header over the bar and a 25-yard strike narrowly wide of the target.
And in first-half stoppage time, Molyneux curled an effort wide after beautifully taking down keeper Jones' goal-kick.
Doncaster threatened again early in the second half and Conor Carty was just unable to add a decisive touch to Hurst's low cross.
Their persistence was rewarded when Bailey headed home Molyneux's cross - his first goal since his arrival last summer.
Hughes was denied by a fine save from Louis Jones in stoppage time and then put his penalty wide, before Rovers' victory was sealed when Jordan Jones' spot-kick was saved.
Doncaster scored all their penalties, with Joe Ironside, Ben Close, Bailey and Hurst converting, while Josh Magennis and Stephen Humphrys netted for the Latics.
